Last week I was craving bagels. I didn't have any and decided to try making some using this recipe from scratch. I think they turned out pretty well.
I made a couple of slight variations namely, using whole wheat flour instead of white. There is so much sugar (believe it or not) in store-bought bagels so this way I know what's going in them and I can feel good about eating carbs.
While still warm from the oven these were delicious with cream cheese. Give them a try if you have a little time. You won't regret it.
